Life Lately

Things have been a whirlwind since our California trip last month.  Life has been busy, busy and it doesn’t look like it’s going to slow down any time soon.  If we’re friends on Instagram you may have seen some of these images.

- Hudson is officially enrolled in Kindergarten for next year.  Cue the mama tears!

- One of my best friends got married a few weeks ago and asked me to photograph the event.  But, she threw me for a loop.  You see…she called me on Tuesday and said she was thinking of getting married on Friday.  My type-a mind was blown.  How on earth could you plan a wedding in just days?  Well…she did it.  And it was beautiful.  I was honored to get to capture her marry her love of 15 years and get to reunite with my friends from high school.

- All of the Grandparents chipped in for birthdays and got the kids a new swing set.  They are in heaven!

- Hudson started his first martial arts class which he had been begging to do.

- Just Court and I traveled to Chicago a couple of weeks ago just for one night.  As I’ve mentioned before he heads up the roller derby league run out of our rink and also coaches the girls.  We traveled to play the Chicago Red Hots and the Happy Campers.  But, we also got to have a little fun including shopping, lunch at Giordano’s, and meeting up with our friends who live in the area for lunch and a wine tasting.

- My husband’s birthday was last week.  We celebrated with a joint party for he and our neighbor who share the same birthday.

- Gigi & Papa (my husband’s parents) came to visit us for a week.

Erin @ Blue-Eyed Bride - Y’all have been busy, but everything looks so fun! Those wedding pictures are beautiful! Can’t believe our kids are big enough to be in kindergarten :(

Erin - Whew. You kids have been busy little bees (but not as busy as the sweet bride who planned her wedding in DAYS). Love the gorgeous wedding pictures, and the sweet swing set!!

Mia @ MakeMeUpMia - I just love that pic from class! Beautiful wedding pics :)

Jenny Collier - Thanks, Mia. I’m so glad you could attend!

Jenny Collier - Thank you. The kids are in LOVE with the swing set. Best purchase ever!

Jenny Collier - I know. It is going to be so strange for Hudson to be gone so much next year. Ours are full days: 8:45-3:45 five days a week. Is your Hudson in half or full day?

Pancakes and Pajamas Party

My talented friend, newborn photographer Meagan Ready, recently threw the most darling pancakes and pajamas party for her daughter’s 1st birthday party.  Every detail was utter perfection.  It was just too good not to share.

Some of my favorite details were the amazing gold sequin tablecloth, the darling bunny slippers, the iced coffee in mason jars, Cora’s darling smash cake with the bow topper, and the make your own pancake bar with fun toppings.  Isn’t this such a fun concept for a party?

Missy Lawson - So cute!! I just had the same theme for Cale’s 5th bday. Love the girly spin. Do you know where she got her cookies and macaroons? I need to get some made for Caroline’s 3rd and my cookie girl moved :( Nice job as always on the photos.

April V - Absolutely DARLING…

Jenny Collier - Isn’t it? My friend did an amazing job on this party.

California Vacation: Part Three

If you missed part one & two of our California Vacation click HERE and HERE.

Monday, we headed out to the Irvine Spectrum (with 4 kids!) to do some shopping.  We wound up spending the majority of our time there in Dave & Busters letting the kids play video games.  We did, however, get to pop into Cotton On Kids where Gigi purchased the big girls matching outfits.  They looked so cute that we had to take some pictures.

Cousins Cousins Cousins

The last day of our trip we hired a babysitter (don’t judge) for a couple of hours so that we could go out downtown for a little adult time.
