California Vacation: Part One

A few weeks ago we traveled to Huntington Beach, California to visit my husband’s side of the family and to meet our baby niece, Sawyer.  We had so much fun relaxing, playing with cousins, enjoying the warm weather, and of course going to Disneyland!

Our first day my mother-in-law and I took my kids and my niece, Harper, to the Discovery Science Center while my hubby and his Dad went golfing.

Afterward, we had my favorite lunch Wahoo’s Fish Tacos.  When we lived in California I frequented Wahoo’s multiple times a week.  So, obviously it’s one of my must-haves when visiting.

These kids were having a blast making silly faces at me on the ride home.  They were all in heaven this week getting to play with one another so much.

The next day we visited Disneyland.  We spent the entire day there (12 hours!) and surprisingly the kids were fantastic.  Hudson and Ella both were so brave….riding things like Space Mountain, the Hollywood Tower of Terror, and Splash Mountain.  I sent Gigi, Papa, and Aunt Devon on those rides as I am terrified of heights.

I didn’t a ton of photos this day as we were getting on and off so many rides.  We were shocked that we the lines were short enough that we got to ride almost double the rides we normally do.

And a couple from Disneyland that I shared on Instagram.  The last picture?  Oh yeah…that’s just my husband on the Hollywood Tower of Terror.  We laughed about this picture for days.

Spring Favorites from Blue Skies Shop

One of my favorite places to shop is my friend, Cara’s, Blue Skies Shop.  Cara has impeccable taste.  And her shop is like shopping within her personal closet.  I love it all!

When I saw this aztec maxi dress I knew I had to have it.  The blouson top, the pockets, and the colors just shouted “me!”  I recently took it on my California vacation and wore it at least a couple of times.  It was perfect to dress up a little with some gold sandals and jewelery.  Or to throw a denim jacket over for a more casual daytime look.

Something else I picked up was this darling tribal print top.  I could see myself wearing it with poplin shorts, gladiator sandals, and a bundle of gold bracelets this summer.  Here, I paired it with jeans and gold flats for an easy yet pulled together look while out and about with my kiddos.

Jenny Collier - Thank you! Love it too.

Jenny Collier - Yes! It is so cute on! I wear a small so I’m sure you would too!

Christy Beller Squyres - Love the dress!!
