Great Wolf Lodge

Last weekend we traveled to Grapevine, Texas to the Great Wolf Lodge with friends.  This was our third trip there.  Hudson & Ella loved getting to ride some of the big kid rides this year.  We did lots of swimming and sliding, ate at a hibachi restaurant, and played in the arcade.  It was a great little getaway!

We even made a pit stop at Ikea on the way home for some goodies to redecorate our master bedroom with.  Can’t wait to share what we’re doing!

Basics from Impressions Online Boutique

As a Mom I, of course, want to look stylish but there is a definite need for comfort and modesty.  Gone are the days of short dresses when I am picking up children (or toys) off of the floor.  I love the trend of basic oversized tops.

They are trendy, can be dressed up with some wedge booties and a necklace or worn more casually with boots or flats and a scarf.  They are SO comfortable but allow a mom to look put together and stylish.

Here are some of my favorites that I recently picked up from Impressions Online Boutique:

Impressions not only carries an array of these types of tops in every color under the sun but they carry the cutest dresses, sweaters, accessories, and more.  And their customer service is tops.  I receive emails after I’ve received each order to make sure I like what I’ve purchased.

Be sure to head over and check out all of their newest Spring looks.

How to organize your life: Meal planning made easy

Meal planning helps my family to save money, to eat more healthful meals instead of grabbing something on the go, and for us to plan ahead.  I use Google calendars to plan my menu.  Since I already use it as my main source of keeping track of our events it’s easy for me to plan which nights we want to cook at home.  I simply added another calendar called “Dinner” and keep track of our dinner plans there.

I keep track of meals that I want to try or recipes that we like in my Pinterest boards.  I have two that I usually pull from:  Advocare Recipes (essentially clean eating recipes) and Food:  Healthy.

I go ahead and pull the link that goes directly to the recipe and place it in the location section of the Google event.  That way, when I’m ready to start dinner I can simply pull up the calendar on my phone or iPad and find the recipe.  Instead of taking time to scroll through my Pinterest boards.

It makes the whole process quick and simple.  What is your favorite way to plan out your meals?
