How to organize your life: Meal planning made easy

Meal planning helps my family to save money, to eat more healthful meals instead of grabbing something on the go, and for us to plan ahead.  I use Google calendars to plan my menu.  Since I already use it as my main source of keeping track of our events it’s easy for me to plan which nights we want to cook at home.  I simply added another calendar called “Dinner” and keep track of our dinner plans there.

I keep track of meals that I want to try or recipes that we like in my Pinterest boards.  I have two that I usually pull from:  Advocare Recipes (essentially clean eating recipes) and Food:  Healthy.

I go ahead and pull the link that goes directly to the recipe and place it in the location section of the Google event.  That way, when I’m ready to start dinner I can simply pull up the calendar on my phone or iPad and find the recipe.  Instead of taking time to scroll through my Pinterest boards.

It makes the whole process quick and simple.  What is your favorite way to plan out your meals?

Mamarazzi of Tulsa Recap & April 2014 Workshop

We hosted a Mamarazzi of Tulsa workshop here at my home over the weekend.  This workshop marked the fourth year of Mamarazzi of Tulsa which just blows my mind.  Ashley and I were both on a high when everyone had gone home.  It’s such a dream to teach mamas how to do something that we’re so passionate about.

On Saturday fifteen ladies went from being confused and frustrated by their cameras to mastering their settings and shooting in manual mode by the day’s end.  So proud!  I also love Mamarazzi day because it inspires me to be more creative with my images of my children and get back to the documenting which I love so very much.

We are hosting only two more workshops for the year (we’re skipping a summer workshop this year because Ashley is due with her baby boy).  Tickets are now on sale for our April 5th workshop.  Visit Mamarazzi of Tulsa for more information or to buy your seat. Early bird registration opened up for those on our mailing list on Tuesday.  So, as of this post there are only a handful of seats left.  So if you’re interested make sure to snag your seat quickly!

If you’re not in Oklahoma remember that you can purchase a digital version of our workbook (seen below).  We’re also in talks about doing a webinar version of our class.  If you’re interested in that please send us an email to to join the webinar mailing list.

Year of Dates Printable

Two years ago for Valentine’s Day I gifted my husband a year of dates.  We are, once again, stuck in a rut of dinner dates and are in need of a bit of adventure when it comes to spending time together.  So, I created this year of dates printable that I thought some of you could use as well. I printed, cut, and stuffed each date in it’s own envelope labeled with the month.  He couldn’t open them until the month of so he never knew what was coming.  A fun (and free) Valentine’s gift.  What could be better than that?

The file is editable in Adobe Reader so that you may swap the dates out.  Be sure to download Bebas font to ensure you get the same look.

Morgan J. Smith - This is a really cute idea…and I think it really helps enforce date night! I definitely need to do this for my husband.
