My Grandma Ella passed away last month and while she lived a long life the loss was just tough for us all. Her memorial service won’t be held until May when all of the extended family can travel to Kansas. A friend suggested that we do something to honor her before then to get some closure.
So, my mom and sister came over with a pile of pictures, we made Grandma’s signature beef stew, baked cookies, shared stories, and remembered.
I have begun to really cherish that pile of old photographs. It has inspired me to pick up the camera and document our family. For my sake and future generations.
