I can’t believe it’s already November! This year is just flying by. Here is a recap of our October. Be sure to follow me over on Instagram!
One of our challenges in Documenting Life this month was to capture your child fresh out of bed. My Ella with bed head eating her Cheerios:
A new month means a new section of my beloved Val Marie Paper Prayer Journal. If you don’t have one it’s a must – helped me to break out of my box in only praying for my own needs.
Shared a bit more of our house and vignettes throughout this month. This is clearly our entry way:
Twinning it with Ella:
My cousin got married so we spent the weekend in my hometown of Wichita, Kansas with family.
We went to the Exploration Place, a Children’s Museum, with Grandpa and Grandma:
Our family at the wedding:
We couldn’t leave Wichita without climbing the tree that my sisters and I spent our summer days in. We nicknamed it the Girl’s Club and wouldn’t let our brother in it.
Ella and I spent the afternoon crafting a Halloween banner for our mantle:
We added spooky vignettes all around our home:
Another Documenting Life Challenge this month was to capture your child helping in the kitchen. Ella and I made cupcakes for Hudson as an after school snack.
We had some fun booing our neighbors:
I’ve been having some fun breaking out of the yoga pants and into my fall wardrobe:
We invited our neighbors over for a BBQ. I made my first cheese plate and loved how it turned out. I could eat these for dinner every night!
We announced our first Mamarazzi workshop of 2015.
We’ve been spending a lot more time outside since the weather has cooled off and have been enjoying evening walks and bike rides around the neighborhood:
We went on a neighborhood playdate to the pumpkin patch:
And then to Oktoberfest with some of our neighbors:
We also had a donut, mimosa, and pumpkin painting playdate for the kids over the fall break:
Went and saw Book of Life with friends (I promise Hudson was more excited than he seems in the photo):
We changed up the chalkboard wall for Halloween:
We did LOTS of pumpkin painting this month. With pie pumpkins for only $.79 a piece it turned out to be a cheap activity that kept Hudson & Ella busy for hours.
Poor Ella came down with a bug. Thankfully it was short lived after we put our essential oils to work:
We made our traditional pasta with pumpkin and sausage:
The life of a blogger is sometimes I strange one. We got all of our Christmas advent books wrapped up for an upcoming post:
Ella has loved dressing like mama lately:
Daddy fell roller skating and dislocated and broke a couple of fingers. So, Ella and I waited for a couple of hours in the emergency room. She colored countless pictures for him to make him feel better:
I attended the Pursue One-Day workshop in the amazing Carlton Landing. We arranged florals, learned watercolor calligraphy, and did some tabletop styling. It was a fun afternoon!
The amazing Maggie of Sharing Thyme made lunch for us which was a treat! A delicious sandwich with 4 pepper turkey, smoked gouda, and sliced apples. And mini pumpkin pies!
My floral creation and table styling:
We went to Boo-Ha-Ha with Aunt Kelsi and Mimi:
We made up our Playdoh class treats for the school Halloween party:
We carved a pumpkin. Ella loved removing all of the guts for mama:
We trick or treated with our neighbors. More Halloween pictures to come next week.
