Slow Cooker Mississippi Roast

Slow Cooker Mississippi Roast is one of my family’s favorite meals…even Hudson our pickiest eater loves it.  It always shocks me that he won’t eat a piece of chicken but that his favorite meals are this and Mix and Match Mama’s Spinach Pesto Baked Tacos.

Mississippi Roast
  • 3 pound chuck roast
  • 5-6 pepperocini (to be honest we add a lot more because the kids always argue over who gets them)
  • 11 oz packet of dry ranch mix
  • 11 oz packet of dry au jus gravy mix
  • stick of butter
  • ¼ cup water
  1. Add ¼ cup water and place chuck roast on top.
  2. Sprinkle the dry ranch seasoning mix on top of the roast, then do the same with the au just mix. Then place the stick of butter on top of the roast. Spread the pepperocinis around it.
  3. Cook on low for 8 hours. Shred and serve with the gravy.
  4. We serve this on top of mashed potatoes and highly recommend it!
