Mamarazzi of Tulsa is a one day workshop where we teach moms the basics of photography including how to shoot in manual mode, lighting, and composition. We also spend a good portion of the day focusing on how to capture more creative photo journalistic images of your children.

A recent student had this to say about our workshop:

“I finally got my big girl camera and signed up for the next Mamarazzi Workshop. And let me just tell you, I am SO glad I did. Jenny and Ashley are not only so talented, but they are willing (& patient!) to share their gifts with others! In todays times, this seems to be a rare find, but these ladies do it with smiles and enthusiasm! If you are a mom like me and having a debate on whether you should or shouldn’t, just do it already! My only mistake was that I didn’t do it sooner!!”

Our final workshop of the year is coming up on November 9th. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn how to use your camera before those all-important photo opportunities that the holiday season presents. Register HERE.

This weekend we hosted a Mamarazzi of Tulsa photography workshop here at my home. I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again…Mamarazzi day is so inspiring to me. Watching these moms who are confused and often frustrated by their digital SLR cameras turn it all around in one day and feel so confident in their shooting ability is amazing.

Plus, I get a refresher on many of the documenting aspects that I often forget about. After the class I sat down and made a list of the things that I want to capture my children doing before they grow out of it. Such as…

  • The way Ella holds scissors (and sticks out her tongue while she thinks and cuts at the same time)
  • Drawing on our big chalkboard wall
  • How small they look when they play ABCmouse.com on Dad’s computer
  • How they love to ride bikes in circles around our garage
  • That they like to play rockband together
  • How they smoosh their faces up against the glass when in the shower

I love capturing these kinds of moments for my children. I always say I want them to have a real sense of who they were as children…not just styled images of them smiling and saying “cheese”.

We only have ONE more workshop left in 2013. To find out more information, purchase our E-Book, or to sign up for our mailing list visit our website.

teaching mamarazzi is one of my biggest passions. i love seeing that a-ha moment. i was like you…confused by my digital slr and why i often got dark or blurry images. i wanted those amazing shots with the blurry background that i loved so much. but mostly i wanted to be able to take beautiful pictures of my (future) children. so, my journey began with learning how to use that camera!

and here i am six years later teaching what i was so eager to learn all those years ago. ashley and i saw such a need for this. i would go to the zoo and see countless moms snapping photos of their children in the bright sun with the flash on! don’t use your digital slr like a point & shoot any longer. there is such potential there!

at mamarazzi of tulsa, ashley and i share all of our tips and tricks in one class…a four hour time span. by the end of the day you’ll know how to master your camera. so empowering!

our last two workshops have been announced here. if you don’t live in oklahoma you can purchase our workbook here (it contains everything we teach during our four our class).

be sure to sign up for our mailing list (email: [email protected]) to be the first to receive information on dates and early registration.
