Christmas Decorations

I was so ready to get our holiday decorations up this year. We opted for a real tree and I couldn’t wait for my home to be filled with the smells of Christmas. The weekend after Thanksgiving we brought home our tree and started decking the halls.

Christmas Ornaments in Dough BowlI am a big proponent of having all of my Christmas shopping done before Thanksgiving. Target or the mall in the month of December just sounds like torture to me. But the down side to that? Having all of the gifts to wrap at once! One day when the kids were in school last week the hubs and I tackled it all. Okay, truthfully, he wrapped and I decorated.

A tradition since Ella’s first Christmas is to do a Christmas book advent. That means we wrap up the same 24 Christmas books each year and unwrap one each night. I have those set up in my office with it’s own tree:

So happy to be done and be able to just enjoy the season. Now, time to get cracking on our bucket list.
