Huds got to help Dad coach derby practice one evening. He loved blowing the whistle:

The day before we left for our vacation we went to the Tulsa Drillers game which was a lot of fun:

After a short non-stop flight on Allegiant’s new service from Tulsa to LA vacation had begun:

We spent the day at the pool on our first full day in California visiting with family:

We headed down to Carlsband to spend the day at Legoland which was a lot of fun!

We took the kids for lunch at Ruby’s at the end of the pier and spent some time watching the surfers:

These two just adore each other and it absolutely melts my heart. They kept giving one another hugs over and over the entire week we were there:

We took the ferry over to Catalina Island to spend the day:

We lived in California for 3 years prior to moving to Oklahoma. So, we visited some of our favorite Huntington Beach spots this morning with the kids:

We made a stop into the Huntington Beach surf museum:

This afternoon we visited Pretend City in Irvine which is an interactive children’s museum:

And then did a little shopping at the Irvine Spectrum. With a ferris wheel and carousel you would have thought we were at Disneyland with these two:

We ended the day with a rooftop dip in the jacuzzi:

We drove up to LA and stayed our last night in a hotel near the airport to make our early morning flight easier. The kids loved the hotel pool:

My sister just so happened to be in LA visiting her boyfriend and on our same flight home. So, on the last night we met them in Venice Beach for dinner at C&O Trattoria:

My husband got a new car! We are in love with our Infiniti QX80 from Jackie Cooper Infiniti. Highly recommend them - they treated us so wonderfully!

We hit up the Lifetime pool for the first time this summer and enjoyed fruit popsicles.

We had a family night at the Bixby Green Corn Festival:
