Years ago I did a blog photography challenge called documenting life.  I created 52 photo ideas that prompted you to document your child in new and different ways.  I have gotten out of the habit of photographing my children as often as they grow older but have recently been inspired to pick up my camera and document the every day.  I am keeping this 52 photo ideas printable handy to remind me to break that habit of saying cheese and document them in a more creative way.

When I bought my first digital SLR camera I pined for it for months.  I fell in love with photography when planning my wedding, we were planning a family, and I knew I wanted to be able to beautifully document that baby’s childhood.  So, when my camera arrived I pulled it out the box and began shooting.  I was instantly confused why some of my images were dark or blurry.  I had a vision of what I wanted my images to look like (bright, sharp, and with that beautiful blurry background) but was instantly frustrated because I didn’t know how to get from point A to point B.
