Kid’s Keepsake Boxes

I used to keep every single piece of paper that came home from school, every drawing that my kids made, and so much more in a box in our closet.  I finally got it all organized into these kid’s keepsake boxes.  I simply took a Sterlite file box, some hanging file folders, my label maker, and printed a monogram sticker for the front of each box.

I know my grown children aren’t going to want multiple tubs full of keepsakes from their childhood.  So, I whittled down the piles into school pictures, special art projects, birthday invitations, and other special keepsakes.  Also inside these boxes are signed books from their first birthday parties, their baby books, and special keepsakes such as their first pairs of shoes, baby hats, blankets, etc.  These items will eventually move to a separate box as we add more files.

How do you store your children’s keepsakes?
